TechWiseTV is squarely focused on a technical Cisco audience. Any guest appearing on the show should find it very easy to present as we make every effort to avoid typical corporate presentation styles. There is no need to pay attention to the cameras.

How to prepare your content (see also milestones)

Expectations:

  • Pre-Interview
  • Planning Doc Process
  • Feedback leading up to taping
  • Visuals/Animation/Slides
  • Taping Week
    • You should have an outlook calendar for any pre-testing of equipment/network
    • Lab tapings generally occur in the morning - 'discussion area' in the afternoon (all of this should be indicated in your planning doc)
    • Shoot Day - hanging out...arrive early and check in
    • Air Date - Question Manager! (bring your friends....)
  • Cross Promotion - we can make files available

Working with the Cintiq - it can be tempting to use overly texty slides with lots of builds.  It can also be tempting to use the whiteboard capabilities from scratch and rely on your own, probably weak, drawing skills  The best of both worlds, when it comes to TechWiseTV, is to rework one or two slides to where there is little or no text but you leave the simple objects pre-drawn on screen. Then using then pen, you can make the connections as you speak and our Director can choose to take those full screen or leverage shots of you physically interacting with the screen behind you.  Watch Darryl Sladden from our SIP show, Episode 66 -
